What are the eligibility requirements of maternity benefits?

I am the 2 years customer for starhealth comprehensive star health, recently i added my spouse. I applied for maternity claim..& request to insurer to reconsider the claim due to my family situation. But they rejected, due to 24 months waiting period intimate through mail. After that i receiving mails from star health kindly submit the documents to proceed the claim, i did not consider that. Recently i receiving a mail reason for rejection is non-submission of documents (Even after reminders, you have not sent us the above documents. We therefore presume that you are not interested in preferring the claim and therefore the same is rejected) One month back they rejected due to waiting period, now i receiving like this. I had documents submission ack copy. Totally they are confusing. Any possible to compensate against insurer or claim. Kindly guide me.

Since Star Health initially rejected the claim citing the 24-month waiting period, their later rejection for non-submission of documents appears misleading. You can file a formal complaint with the insurer's Grievance Redressal Cell and escalate it to the Insurance Ombudsman if unsatisfied. Attach all proof, including the acknowledgment of document submission and initial rejection mail, to strengthen your case. If necessary, you can also approach the IRDAI Grievance Cell for further action.

As they have rejected the claim and notified you through the mail .Again they are sending you message regarding this so first of all you should visit the branch or talk to your agent who assisted you during the insurance proceeding and try to clear the miscommunication regarding this and if you are facing any issue you should take an advice from lawyers who are involved into the insurance related matters .
