What if I cannot attend ECS hearing in Delhi?

I reside in Maharashtra. I have received a court summons for an ECS bounce case filed against me in Delhi, with a hearing date set for May 15. Due to urgent personal matters, I am unable to travel to Delhi on that date. I kindly request your professional help to appear on my behalf and seek a new date from the court. I am also in contact with the bank to try and settle the matter before the hearing. If the issue is resolved through a settlement before the court date, will I still be required to appear in person?

If you cannot attend the Delhi hearing, hire a local lawyer to appear and request a new date. The court usually allows rescheduling for valid reasons. If you settle with the bank before the hearing, the case can be withdrawn. But until that happens, the court expects either you or your lawyer to appear.
