How can I legally refund my money?

I ordered a product from RedTape, but when it was delivered, the shoes were not my size and looked very cheap in quality. That's why I returned them for a refund. However, I still haven’t received my refund even though it’s been almost a month. What should I do? Can I go to the consumer court for an amount like ₹1299? Is there any number to file a complaint against RedTape? I’m not the only one—just check the comments section on their Instagram page.

Dear client, as per your query, Yes, you can file a complaint in the consumer court. A 30-day delay after accepting a return is under “deficiency in service” and comes under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Start with NCH, since it’s fast and free. If that fails, file it on e-Daakhil for small amounts are fully maintainable, and you can also seek compensation. Before court, send a final escalation email to the RedTape and publicly tag them on social media to show a pattern. As a last step, send them a legal notice usually triggers quick settlement. In case of further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you.

You can file a complaint in the Consumer Court, even for ₹1,299. Start by contacting RedTape customer care. If they don’t respond, file a complaint online at E-Daakhil. Keep proof like receipts and emails. If still unresolved, you can also escalate the issue through the National Consumer Helpline. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
