What legal action can be taken against deficiency of service?

It has been almost a year since I purchased a Lenovo M10 tablet for around ₹8,000. The device has been lying at the service center because Lenovo has been unable to resolve the issue. The motherboard has already been replaced twice, but the problem still persists. Due to repeated delays, I was forced to purchase an extended warranty. Lenovo has neither offered a replacement nor a refund. How can I get this matter resolved at the earliest without spending any additional fees?

Dear client, As per your query, you can file a complaint in the Consumer Forums (District, State, or National) under the Consumer Protection Act, and seek remedies such as compensation, refunds, repairs, or replacements, along with the process simplified by the 2019 Act, which allows electronic filing and mediation. The consumers must also gather evidence (contracts, records, photos) and can also file directly or send a legal notice, within the jurisdiction depending on the value of the claim. I hope this answer was helpful. For further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you.

Dear Client, You can approach the District Consumer Commission and seek redressal for the lack of service. You can also request compensation for the amount spent by you due to the deficiency in the performance of the product and the service given by the company. I hope this was helpful. For further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you.

You can take action under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. First, send a written complaint or legal notice to company asking for a replacement or full refund. If they do not resolve it, you can file a free complaint on the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or submit an online case on the e-Daakhil consumer portal. Repeated failure to repair the device amounts to deficiency in service. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
