If an individual willfully ignores court summons, the court is empowered under the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 to issue a warrant for securing his presence. Initially, the court may issue a bailable warrant. In case of continued non-compliance, a non-bailable warrant can be issued.
