How to legally deal with blackmailers?
Someone pretended to be someone else on Instagram. I didn’t know it was a fake account, and we video-called. Now they’re blackmailing me with the recording and asking for money.

You should file a complaint at the cybercrime portal cybercrime.gov.in or your nearest police station under BNS and IT Act sections. Blackmail and using personal videos to threaten you is a serious crime. Do not pay them, report it immediately. Police can track the person behind the fake account.
