What can I do if husband mentally harras and threatens me?

My husband does not respect me. He claims to perform black magic on me, does not trust or support me, and we constantly fight. This situation is causing me severe mental stress. He is also not sending our 3.5-year-old child to school, threatening me and my family, not providing maintenance, and not helping with household responsibilities while I am taking care of two young children. There are many other issues as well. What should I do? This situation is affecting my life every day.

Dear Client, Your situation requires immediate legal action. You may file a complaint under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, seeking protection, residence, and maintenance orders. You can also approach the Family Court for maintenance and child custody, particularly as your 3.5-year-old child’s welfare may be affected. Keep records of all harassment, threats, and financial neglect. If the threats are serious, file a police complaint promptly. If reconciliation is not possible, you may consider divorce or judicial separation. You are entitled to seek maintenance, custody, and legal protection. Consult a family lawyer at the earliest.
