What legal action can be taken against domestic violence?
My wife Shaheen Bano is a victim of domestic violence in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The respondents are six family members. The incident occurred on 02.08.2025. A private criminal case under BNS Section 173 is already pending in the Barabanki court. The DLSA refused free legal aid, stating that an FIR is required. The police are not registering the FIR despite three complaints to the SP. The Protection Officer has also refused assistance.
