If the offer letter specifies a clause allowing termination with 90 days' pay, the bank may legally terminate the employee based on that clause, even without providing a reason. However, if the employee is confirmed, they may be entitled to additional protections under Indian labor law, including provisions for unfair dismissal. If the termination seems unjust or without cause, the employee can approach the labor commissioner or file a complaint in labor court for a review of the termination. Consulting a lawyer can help determine if the termination is in violation of any legal rights. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
