Can I claim salary for termination without notice and distress?

My employer terminated my employment without prior notice, stating that the business became unsustainable as they weren't receiving payment from a foreign client. They also delayed my salary for almost two months but eventually paid it. I am not happy with this, and I want to know if I can claim at least one month’s salary as per labor laws for the mental distress caused and for the termination without notice.

In India, employers must provide a notice period before termination, except in cases of proven misconduct. If terminated without notice and after salary delays, you may be entitled to compensation. Consult a labor law expert to assess your situation and discuss potential claims. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
