Employer reduced salary after 3 months; can I leave legally?
I was offered a package of Rs. 42,000 per month salary and was promised a salary of Rs. 45,000 per month after 3 months. I was also required to sign a contract and provide a blank unsigned cheque. However, after the 3-month period, my employer decreased my pay to Rs. 37,000 against my will, which is well below my financial requirements. Therefore, I want to leave the company. Will there be any legal action against me?
Sir, if your contract specifies a notice period or penalties for early termination, you may face legal consequences for leaving the company. However, you may have grounds to challenge the pay reduction if it violates the terms of your agreement. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
