Has my job been restored after the Supreme Court stay?

I was working as Senior General Manager with a company for the last 25 years. The company was under government management due to a dispute among shareholders for the past 40 years. Appeals were pending regarding the shareholders' claim to regain control from the government. In March 2024, the shareholders regained management, and after one month, I was fired without any notice, notice salary, or gratuity. They asked me to collect my dues after obtaining a no-dues certificate from the company. In May 2024, the Supreme Court stayed the operation of the High Court order that handed over the management, based on an SLP filed by affected plot-holders. The old government board rejoined, but they refused to reinstate or restore my services. My questions are: What is my position now? Has my job been automatically restored after the Supreme Court stay? If yes, what action should I take against the management's denial of reinstatement?

Sir, given the Supreme Court’s stay, your job may not have been automatically restored. However, you can file a writ petition in the High Court or labour court to seek reinstatement, arguing wrongful termination and violation of labor laws. You may also claim unpaid dues like notice salary and gratuity. Consult a labor lawyer to assess your case, help with filing the petition, and determine the best legal recourse for reinstatement.
