How to claim withheld salary and remove bank account lien?
I’m a former banker promoted to officer rank in September 2015. I was dismissed in October 2018. A criminal case for ₹58,162 (already recovered in July 2017 from my OD account) was filed in 2017. In 2020, the bank put a hold on my savings account claiming the OD became an NPA. They haven’t paid my officer-grade salary till dismissal. How can I claim my salary difference and get the lien removed?
You should file a writ petition in High Court or approach a tribunal for recovery of unpaid salary and unlawful lien. Since the amount was already recovered, holding funds again is unjust.
