Dear Client, If your wages are withheld without a proper and justified cause, first inform the matter in writing to your employer/HR seeking clarification as to the same; if not resolved, you can approach the Labour Commissioner under the Payment of Wages Act or the relevant Shops and Establishments Act, you can also file a case before the Labour Court and if you hold a senior/managing position, you can file a civil recovery suit. I hope this answer helps. For further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank You

If your salary was wrongly held last month, then you can send a legal notice to your company. If they do not respond, file a complaint with higher authorities. As a government employee, you can also approach the Administrative Tribunal if it is not resolved soon. Holding salary without reason is not legal.
