What steps should I take if the buyer threatens legal action?

I sold a piece of land through the registry office with proper procedures. After 10 years, the buyer is complaining that there is no road to the land and is blackmailing me to pay for the road or he will file a case against me. What steps should I take?

Sir, since the land was sold legally with proper procedures, you are not liable for providing a road. Review the sale agreement to confirm no such commitment was made. Consult a lawyer to understand your rights, and consider sending a legal notice if the buyer is blackmailing you. If a case is filed, defend yourself in court with proper documentation.
