How can I deal with someone who is abusing me physically and mentally?
My brother-in-law is threatening to kill my whole family including me. About 6 months ago my sister married a man whom she knew for about 9 years and marriage was court-marriage and points agreed were there was no dowry given. After marriage he mentally and physically assaulted my sister multiple times and said about killing my whole family. One day he came my home and started thrashing all the things violently and breaking gas-stove and threatened to leak open the LPG Cylinder and set house on fire.
You can file an FIR under section 498A of IPC and section 85 of BNS for cruelty against the married women for dowry to the nearest police station .
