Can company demand bond, deny letter after two years?

Two years ago, I worked at ABC Company. Due to the company’s and manager’s behavior, all employees suddenly left. I informed them one month in advance, although the notice period was three months, and served only one month. After two years, during a background verification, I gave a negative review. When I reached out via email, the manager made false allegations against me. I am ready to pay for the remaining two months of the notice period. There was also a two-year employee bond with only two months left at the time. The company did not pay my last month’s salary. Now, they are demanding bond payment and compensation for company losses before issuing my experience letter.

Since you informed early and are willing to pay the remaining notice period, try negotiating with the company for release. You can file a complaint with the labor department for unpaid salary and wrongful bond enforcement. False allegations can be challenged legally, and you can seek a proper experience certificate through labor authorities or court. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
