What should I do after being wrongfully terminated and assaulted?
On 10th July, everyone received their salary for June, but I didn't get mine because I was fired on 4th July. The reason given was that 15 days earlier, I was smoking in the accommodation, and someone made a video of it. On 4th July, I received a message from my manager saying: "This is completely wrong and unacceptable as you have violated the rules and regulations of our company. Therefore, we have decided to terminate you due to your misconduct, including drinking and smoking at the staff accommodation. Please submit your uniform today at the outlet and vacate the staff room." Since then, I haven’t received any resignation letter or official documentation. When I went to the HR office to inquire about my termination, they even tried to hit me. Many others smoke, but they were not fired because they are long-term employees. What should I do now? Please help.
Sir, firstly you should check your employment contract for termination policies, including reasons for termination, notice period, and salary dues and if it is found that the termination in illegal then you may consider sending a legal notice with the help of an expert lawyer who will assist you to file a civil case in court of law.
