What can I do if my company denies promised bonus?

I joined the company on April 18th and resigned on April 20th the following year. However, the company is denying the bonus that was promised to be given after one year of service, claiming I was on notice period when the payout was done on April 26th. The offer letter says: "The payout will be done in the payroll cycle as per the defined timelines above, subject to you being on the rolls of the company and not serving notice." What should I do in this case?

Since the offer letter mentions no bonus during the notice period, the company may have the right to withhold the bonus. However, you can raise the issue with HR or file a complaint in the Labour Court if you believe the terms were not followed. Consult a lawyer to assess your claim.
