Do water streams on land belong to me or government?

Dear experts, I am from Bangalore and planning to buy 2 acres of agricultural land in Chamarajanagar district. While checking the Dishaank app, I noticed that a few water streams pass through the land. I’m confused about what these streams mean. Do they belong to the property I am buying, or are they under government control? How should I proceed? Please guide me.

The water streams seen on the Dishaank app are likely government property and cannot be owned or altered. Visit the local revenue office to confirm boundaries and check land records. Get a proper land survey done before buying. Also, consult a local property lawyer to avoid legal or government issues later. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
